Help make clean drinking water accessible for all
Global Statistics on drinking water
In a recent research it shows that 26% (1 in4 people) and roughly 2.1-2.2 billion people lack access to safe drinking water. The definition of “safe managed” drinking water is defined by the UN and WHO and refers to water available when needed and free from contamination.
In the 2024 and 2025 research published in Science, it identifies that over 50% (4.4 billion people) of the worlds population has measured levels of fecal contamination in low to middle income countries.
Roughly 585 million people (7%) lack basic water services which means that they have to travel more than 30 minutes to collect water. It is either this or they have to rely on unprotected wells, springs or holding ponds.
Over 115 million people (1.4%) directly relies on surface water from rivers, lakes or streams. Sources of water like this pose a significant risk of carrying diseases.
Whoever drinks the water I give them will never thirst again!

Most people never think about it when they turn on a tap and get a drink of water, but for millions around the world water is not available let alone clean. We want to make clean drinking water available to every person wherever they are.
The children in this picture have to walk many miles every day just to get water out of a dirty puddle. They didn’t have a means to filter it until we installed a filter in their community. Although they still have to collect water, they now can filter it and know that they are drinking water that is safe.
