Oh wow, what an amazing time we had at the Kodiaga Maximum Security Prison in Kisumu Kenya on May 23, 2026.

Wells of Hope World Impact was able to purchase 2080 individual bars of soap and 980 rolls of toilet paper for the men in the prison.

The team of 20 men and women were welcomed with open and were given directions of the do’s and don’ts while inside.

As we walked into the compound, we could hear and see over 850 men in an area praising and worshiping God with dancing and instruments.

It was powerful to see these men who are there for various crimes, serving serious time, praising God.

We all had a time of singing then a couple people gave testimonies. The Chaplin and the Pastor of the Church inside the Prison spoke and then I had the privilege to share the Gospel.

What a humbling experience to speak about our identity in Christ and the fact that when we become a follower of Jesus, God sees us as Innocent. He sees us as righteous because of what Jesus did on the cross.

It was declared over them that they too could take on the identity of Innocent if we repent of our sins, surrender to Christ and ask Him to take over our lives.

Brian, a young man who is part of ICY Ministries here shared as well because a couple years ago he was falsely accused and unjustly sentenced to life in prison, in this very prison. He spent 1 year and 7 months with all these men and was only released a few months ago.

He came into the prison with our team and shared a message of hope, that we serve a God Who sees all things and loves us where we are at. He can take what was meant to ruin us and turn it around for good if we allow Him in to our lives.

The Prison is wide open for us to come back and minister in this men’s prison as well as in the women’s prison.
