Kisumu Women’s Conference 2026

We just want to give an update on how the Woman’s Conference went on May 13, 2026.

There was no way of knowing how many women would be coming but we thought we would prepare for 50 in total. It was a slow start but in a short time a total of 60 women plus 24 children arrived.

It was very powerful as there was Susan and Zippy as guest speakers along with Laurie Leiding who facilitated it as well as preached.

The conference was to empower the women to rise up as powerful and strong women, leading their children in the ways of God, loving their husbands and praying for them diligently. It was also to encourage them to believe that they are not less than men, but we all have a call of God on our lives to lead in the areas that God places us.

Women are oftentimes pushed low and believed to be subservient to the man and his every desire and demand. The women at the Conference were challenged to think differently about themselves and to see themselves as Christ sees them. They were taught who they are in Christ and what that means as they are working in the home or in the workforce.

God has called and gifted every single person on earth and Jesus gave us all the mandate to go and preach the Gospel and make disciples of all nations.

Many women were touched by the love of God, some rededicated their lives to God and all were fed with physical food as well as spiritual food.

We could not have done it alone and we are so thankful for everyone's selfless efforts to make this first Women's Conference at ICY Church a great success.
